Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3
Movies and franchises have been around for ages and expand by the day but there is one franchise that cannot get enough, and that is the multimillion-dollar franchise, Marvel. Marvel has released many well-known movies like Black Panther, Spider-Man, Avengers Endgame, and Deadpool.
Now Marvel is ending a series with a new movie thrown into the mix. With the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 in 2014 and Vol. 2 in 2017. The American media franchise has now released the final part of the movies, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is an action-packed adventure involving a team of intergalactic heroes that must deal with the loss of one of their teammates while also protecting their other teammates and their galaxy.
“Marvel movies are always great with the plot and the visuals too. Marvel is on top. I’m excited to see what happens in this movie because of what happened in the last one. I’m hoping for more fight scenes, and I hope no one gets defeated,” said DBHS sophomore Terard Robinson.
This installment has come the Summer of May 5th, 2023, and is the last movie of the trilogy. It was filmed from November 2021 to May 2022. The film was directed by James Gunn, who also directed the first and second movies. He is also known for directing the movie Suicide Squad and being one of the writers for Scooby-Doo (2002).
In the movie, fans will see their favorite actors like Chris Pratt playing Star-Lord, Vin Diesel as Groot, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, and even the return of Zoe Saldaña as Gamora.
This film has set a new world record for having the most makeup appliances created for a single production. The team used over 23 thousand prosthetics for over one thousand actors. Which means they beat the world record predecessor, The Grinch.
Marvel released many pictures, posters, and teasers to generate hype for the new movie. The same goes for their promotional trailers. Many fans have expressed their excitement on several social media platforms.
The Guardians of the Galaxy had a Holiday special that was released on November 25th, 2022. It was after the movie debuted at Comic-Con that following July. Not long after that, the second trailer was released in February 2023.
“After watching the trailer, I’m even more hyped to see what happens in this movie. I bet it’s going to be great,” said DBHS sophomore Lupita Rodriguez.
In the trailer, fans saw the expert camera and editing work. Along with the fantastic design and music choice, fans got a taste of the magic that is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Though it is bittersweet as fans must see their favorite movie trilogy come to an end gloriously.
The movie will be released in cinemas but can be found on streaming services like Disney Plus and Amazon Prime Video around August of 2023. So, people can watch their favorite movie series from the comfort of home.
Tickets have been pre-ordered on movie theater websites for all those fans who like to be early. Everyone was ready to watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Everyone was happy to see their favorite Star-Lord return to the stars.
