\"\"Cheer tryouts are happening this week. Students who want to try out for the cheer team must have to complete this google form<\/a> to register. These tryouts will determine who makes the team for the upcoming football season at DBHS.<\/p>\n

Students do not need any prior cheerleading or stunting experience to try out for the team. They must complete an athletic physical packet<\/a> before entering the gym for tryouts.<\/p>\n

Tryouts will be held from Wednesday, April 7 to Friday, April 9. The times for Wednesday and Friday\u2019s tryouts are 3:30 pm through 5:00 pm. Thursday\u2019s tryouts will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm due to the early release day. If there is no document complete, you would not be able to participate. Students must also be on time to be able to meet the coaches. Coaches and captains are looking for new members who will work well with the team. They will decide who makes the team.<\/p>\n

Be sure that you know where and when you should arrive, and that you have a ride to and from tryouts. Every tryout will include potential members learning and performing at least one cheer.<\/p>\n

Paula Bailey is the head coach for the cheerleading team. She organizes the tryouts, practice schedules, and creates cheers.<\/p>\n

Before you commit to tryouts, think critically about whether you have the time and passion to devote to the team. If you are going to try out, keep your head up, make eye contact, and of course, smile!<\/p>\n\n\n
