The Lady Bucks started their previous season winning four out of their first six games. They played against West Boca Raton High in the first round of the district playoffs and won convincingly, 70-35. Spanish River High put an end to Deerfield\u2019s season, winning 72-68 in the District Semifinals game.\u00a0 This is a new year for the Lady Bucks, and they are out for blood. With countless hours of conditioning, they’re going to be more than prepared for the 2022-2023 season. Head coach Shueteamia Brayboy and assistant coach Christopher Hall are ensuring the girls will be in tip-top shape. \u201cConditioning these girls is very important,\u201d Coach Brayboy said. \u201cIn order to be successful and keep up with the opponents, they have to be in the best shape possible.\u201d The playoff game against Spanish River opened the eyes of many, and the coaches realize that. They want what is best for the program and they\u2019re going to do everything in their power to bring the team to the next level.\u00a0 \u201cThis year is going to be special,\u201d Coach Hall said. \u201cWe are working really hard during practice and conditioning. I think we will be very successful this season.\u201d The first games of the 2022-2023 season will be in a preseason classic against Piper High, Monarch High, Western High, Cooper City High, Fort Lauderdale High, and Palm Beach Central High at Deerfield Beach High.
