This year, the team has high expectations and has many goals set for a successful season. The Lady Bucks are laser-focused and have their eye on the prize, which is the state championship. \u201cWanting the team to be tight, clean, and sharp, especially when it comes to competition routines,\u201d sophomore DBHS cheerleader Makayla Napoleon said.\u00a0 To achieve their goal of being successful, the team will need to practice endlessly. Great team chemistry and communication will go a long way for the cheerleading squad. It will increase their chances to compete for the state championship. \u201cPractice is really focused,\u201d Napoleon said. \u201cWe get things done and do it efficiently.\u201d\u00a0 The DBHS cheerleading team won the National Championship in 1999 and they’re looking to get back to that level. Head Coach and DBHS alumna Brandie Standifer will do everything in her power to maximize the potential of this squad. The first competition was on November 14th at Stranahan High School.
