A New Age of Learning

Technology Over Books

Some may claim that traditional schooling is preferable to online learning since students may connect with their classmates and teachers face to face. Online education, on the other hand, may one day replace traditional teaching as technology advances.

“I say e-learning is easier for me because it creates a flexible schedule for me to work and to include other things I have to get done.”, said sophomore Ivy Joelle.

With online learning becoming more efficient for some, students save the time and money they spend traveling to and from school. The extra time opens the opportunity to get involved in more extracurricular activities. They will also have more time to relax, allowing them to concentrate better in class. Students can also arrange a more flexible timetable at home, allowing them to work at their own pace while developing self-discipline.

“Going physically to school is stressful when you have to get other things done but you can’t because you have to stay in school for 7 hours,” said freshmen Mariana Paz.

It is critical because while professors can watch pupils via webcam, they cannot see everything they are doing. Students must be more proactive, pay attention to what they are being taught, and double-check that they get the material. It allows students to develop their study strategies while still receiving continual help from their lecturers.

“Sometimes it is better to learn in school because it’s more visual but on the same hand, e-learning creates more efficient time for us students throughout the day.”, said freshman Daniel Seavey

Students can connect online using virtual groups such as Zoom and Google Meet to make-up for the absence of touch with peers and teachers. Because students can use numerous functionalities to improve classroom discussion, such as chat rooms and screen-sharing, a doorway to increased interaction is open. It demonstrates that online learning can be more effective than traditional classroom instruction.

It may be time to consider replacing traditional schooling with remote learning.
