The Driver Education Program is offered by Broward County Public Schools at Deerfield Beach High School and is free of charge. All sessions are open to students of both public and non-public secondary schools. The program offers the DELAP program which includes the Restricted License Test and Drivers License Test for those who are eligible.
Goals
• Provide a program that ensures the safety of our student drivers
• Mandatory driving in physical cars (not simulators)
• State certification for all instructors
• Provide research and statistics of all student drivers that completed our program
• Provide all students who are eligible the opportunity to take the Class E Knowledge (Permit) or Skills (License) exam to get their Learner’s Permit or Driver’s License
- Students must be 15 years of age on or before the first class session, live in Broward County, and attend a school in Broward County.
- Driver’s Education classes are for current students only. If a student graduates or withdraws from high school prior to the start date of a session, they are no longer eligible to participate in the program.
- Students are allowed to miss one class, except for the first day. If a student is absent the first day, they will automatically be withdrawn from the program.
Fall 2026 Sessions
• Saturday, September 12 , 2026 – Saturday, November 7, 2026

• October 3rd, October 10th, October 17th, October 24th, October 31st
• November 7th,
• Morning Session: 8:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
• Afternoon Session: 12:15 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Registration opens up at 8:00 a.m. on the date listed. In order to request a seat in one of Driver’s Education classes, please try to register as soon as possible but this link will close on the date listed.

Daily Times:
Morning: 8:00 am – 11:45 am
Afternoon: 12:15 pm – 4:00 pm
Lottery results will be communicated via e-mail on August 28, 2026.
Registration for Fall 2026 Driver’s Education will be available starting Monday, August 17, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. and close Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
