ACT Testing
All 12th grade students who need to meet their graduation requirement in math and/or reading will have the opportunity to do so by taking the A.C.T. at the end of October. Check the lists in the main mall for your name and be sure to report at 7:40 a.m. to 240-Testing Center on that day.
Math Section : Wednesday, October 21st | 7:40 a.m. | room 240
Read Section: Friday, October 23rd | 7:40 a.m. | room 240

Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery
The A.S.V.A.B. test measures a student’s ability and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military and beyond. It allows students to figure out where to find career satisfaction, collect all the facts about skill levels and interests, the world of work, and their post-secondary options to make informed decisions. It is administered annually to more than one million military applicants including Deerfield Beach students.
All junior and senior students who want to take the ASVAB test must register in the School Counseling Office no later than Friday, October 23rd. This assessment can help you make important life decisions and can be taken on Deerfield’s campus on Wednesday, October 28th in the 240-Testing Center at 8:00 a.m.

December Testing
The mid-year administration of the students’ graduation requirement assessment will be given on Wednesday, December 9th, at 7:40 a.m. Deerfield Beach High School will follow a modified Scarlet Day Bell Schedule. All freshmen and sophomores will participate in the computer-adaptive Student Growth Assessment, while some juniors and seniors will be testing as well.
P.M. 2 E.L.A. : All 9th and 10th grade students
F.A.S.T. E.L.A.: Any 11th and 12th grade student who needs the graduation requirement
Florida Civic Literacy Exam (FCLE): Only 11th and 12th grade students currently enrolled in U.S. Government Class
Any student who is not on a listing list will be in the auditorium until the bell releases for third period.

Teachers can display them in classrooms or use them as quick 5-minute discussion starters to help students pause, reflect, and reset.
