Graduation Dress Code

Ladies

• Black Shoes – You will be standing for long periods of time, pick your shoes wisely.

• Skirt or Dress not longer than the graduation gown.

*Failure to listening to advice can result in uncomfortable ceremony as there is a lot of walking with entry to exit of the ceremony.

From I-95 Southbound

•  Take exit 26 (I-595 West)

•  Keep right (West) at the fork, follow signs for Interstate 595 W/Florida’s Turnpike/I-75 and merge onto I-595

•  Take exit 7 (FL-84 West) toward Davie Road

•  Turn left (South) onto Davie Road

•  Turn right (West) onto SW 39th Street

•  Turn right (North) onto College Avenue

•  Turn right (West) onto Nova Road which becomes SW 72nd Avenue

Commencement Ceremony Paperwork

Graduation from high school is an important event in the lives of students, parents, and family members. It is an opportunity to celebrate the educational accomplishments of students. Deerfield Beach needs every Class of 2026 members assistance to ensure that the student’s graduation ceremony is conducted in a dignified manner. Forms are placed in Student Affairs and School Counseling Office for students to grab and complete or they can download below to print. All forms must be submitted to Ms. Deese in Student Affairs for May’s graduation ceremony.

The Graduation Decorum Letter is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Creole. The form must be filled out and submitted on or before Friday, May 1st.

Broward Graduation Survey

The 2025-2026 Broward Graduation Survey is open online for students to complete before picking up their Cap & Gowns. Seniors have to list the college plans and/or any other post-secondary information before the Friday, May 22nd deadline. If Broward Students do not complete this first checklist items, they will not be allowed to pickup their items in the cafeteria on distribution day.

Class of 2026 members are recommended to complete the survey on their Xello dashboard, prior to reaching Deerfield’s campus. Students who don’t have it done before entering the line will be redirected to the back of their pick slot with a computer and these step-by-step instructions from Ms. Cruz. Once they complete everything their final transcript will be sent to the college and/or any other post-secondary of their choice in June automatically after graduation.

Cap and gown pictures are now available for purchase through Cady for a limited time. Seniors are eligible to purchase only if they completed their cap‑and‑gown picture session with Cady. To ensure everything is ready before all graduation festivities begin, please complete your purchase before the Thursday, April 9th deadline.

High school yearbooks are a great way to look back on Deerfield Beach High School experience as it will cover some of the highlights of the year with hundreds of photos relating to academic accomplishments, club activities, school sports, and special events. A yearbook is special because it captures the many fun memories of high school life and the achievements of the students.  So purchase the book at the lowest price in the county for the $95.00 Spring Sale! This offer will not last long as it ends Wednesday, May 27th so purchase today online through the estore. Students that questions or would like to purchase a yearbook need to see Mr. Radecki in room 267.

Senior Exam Week

The Class of 2026 is scheduled to complete their final examinations that runs from Monday, May 18th through Thursday, May 21st. Throughout this period, the school will maintain a standard operating bell schedule, with no early releases or pauses in the bell schedule. Students should prepare for a full week of regular school days as they sit for their concluding tests and wrap up their senior year requirements.

Senior Prom

This annual tradition will take place at the Marriott Fort Lauderdale North (6650 North Andrews Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL, 33309, US ) , and this year’s Diamond District theme sets the stage for a night  that feels polished, glamorous, and full of energy. From the décor to the music to the moment everyone steps onto the dance floor, the entire night is designed to feel elevated and unforgettable. It’s the perfect way to on celebrate Saturday, May 23rd surrounded by friends, memories, and a little bit of sparkle. Tickets are on sale until Monday, May 11th for $150 cash, and you can stop by to see Ms. Hills if you have any questions.

*Cap & gowns will be distributed on Friday, May 22nd in the Cafeteria, on the North side of D.B.H.S. campus, with the following timeline schedule. Note that ALL obligations must be cleared before you can receive your cap & gown. If you have not ordered yours yet contact concerns contact Herff Jones1.866.238.5336. The last day to order your cap & gown is Friday, May 1, 2026.

Community Service

Broward County Public Schools requires 40 Service-Learning hours for all 2026 high school graduates.

Seniors who would like to have their community service entered for scholarships or silver cord award must get the information to their  Ms. Sweeting before Wednesday, April 15th deadline. Additional scholarship information can be obtained from the B.R.A.C.E. Advisor, Ms. Denise Cruz, as well as the Florida Department of Education website at www.floridastudentfinancialaids.org.

BCPS Equipment Return

The collection timeline is set for laptops, textbooks, uniforms, and instruments in May for all Deerfield Beach High students. But the last week for seniors will be latest attempt to collect material during Cap and Gown Distribution on Friday, May 22nd scheduled timeline.

*Failure to return items will result in being put on an obligation list which means seniors will not receive their diploma. 

Attendance and Grades

Senior Transcripts

Students should complete their Broward Graduation Survey online, this will indicate where they would like final transcripts sent.

● The DISTRICwill be sending out transcripts electronically for any 12th grade student who wants a transcript sent to a Florida Public School.

● Any students who indicated a non Florida public college as a final destination will need to have their transcript sent out by the school

Bright Futures transcripts will be sent by the DISTRICT for all students once EOC scores come in.
