A Preview for the anticipated Homecoming dance/game

Annually, Deerfield Beach High hosts their Homecoming dance and Homecoming football game during October. This year is no different, as the 2024 events shall commence very soon. These two events are very important to many students as they are fun school-wide celebrated events. They also come with a whole week of entertaining spirit days to get every student excited for the events ahead. A pep rally is also hosted every year to conjure up even more anticipation.

Look at last year’s homecoming dance, the 2023 “Tropical Oasis.” Students were showing up in their best tropical attire for a great night with friends. The event served many forms of entertainment, music, and the opportunity to give you a bunch of memories that will be cherished forever. Most years, including last year, homecoming started at 7 p.m. and ended at 11 p.m. This year is no different. The fee for the homecoming event was $55, and you would pay either by the e-store or in school in room 507, which is the same place you could locate permission slips. Meanwhile, the Homecoming game that is happening on Friday, October 25th, can be paid for on the e-store for only $5.

“What I look forward to this year is seeing the theme ‘Arabian Nights’ come to reality and the food” says senior student Noah Noel when asked about what he looks forward to this homecoming.

It should be noted that if any student wishes to become Homecoming King, Queen, Prince, or Princess, you must get papers from room 507. However, if you violate the Broward County Public Schools code of conduct, they may enforce the rules, and you could get banned from being nominated or attending the dance at all.

This year’s homecoming dance will be filled with many fun activities and obtainable memories that are important to remember students’ lives, which is very important to many people. These dances and games are valuable parts of anyone’s high school experience, and they won’t regret attending and making these memories that’ll be thought upon years later.
