Schedule Change Requests
Requests for schedule changes will only be considered using this forms link. before the the Sunday, August 17th deadline. Students must submit only one form that complies to the following Schedule Change Guidelines on this document, before submitting a schedule change request. Keep in mind that requesting a course change does not guarantee the change will be made.
Class Changes that will be Considered
• Missing a required course for graduation (e.g., Fine Arts, PE, Academies).
• Scheduled for a course you’ve already taken.
• Courses needed for your Cambridge Diploma (missing points).
• Incorrect course sequence (e.g., Chemistry before Biology).
• Moving into or out of an AP/AICE course (requires administrative approval once your form is in).
Class Changes that will NOT Considered
• Changing your teacher.
• Changing the period a course is scheduled.
• Changing your lunch period.
• You’re just dissatisfied with the course.
Refrain from sending emails directly to school counselors and/or teachers, as it will DELAY and possibly PREVENT your request from being acted upon.
Request that are approved, will see the change reflected in FOCUS. | Requests that are denied, will receive an email.
New Student Registration
Deerfield Beach High School is offering first day of school New Student Registration help for the 2025-2026 Academic School Year. Counselors will be available starting at 8:30 a.m. in the Media Center on Monday, August 11th for parent/guardian(s) that have all documentation completed to register.
**NOTE: Please only one parent per student as normal school schedule is proceeding.

**NOTE: This process is not for:
Current students: as they should meet with a School Counselor for course selections
Zoned ninth grade students: as information will rollover from the feeder middle school
Magnet/choice students: C.B.A., I.B. and U.T.A.P. students registered through each magnet office with acceptance into program
To find your first day high school schedule, check your school’s online portal or your email for updates. If you can’t find it online, contact your school’s administration or guidance counselor for assistance. Many schools also hold orientation or registration days where you can pick up a physical copy of your schedule.
2025-2026 Schedules
To find your 2025-2026 Deerfield Beach High School schedule on the first day of school, check the Focus portal. If a student cannot find it online, Deerfield Beach High School will have all first period classes posted in the main mall for students to find. Students will access a physical copy of their schedules within their first period classes on Monday, August 11th.
**NOTE: Students who miss the first day will pick up their physical schedules in their fifth period class as it is a Gold Day class on Tuesday, August 12th.
