Death At Home Plate

Expectations for the upcoming baseball season

As the Deerfield Beach varsity baseball team plans and prepares for the upcoming season, they are very eager and excited about the experience of last year’s season. They achieved a winning record of 15-10 making the 6A district playoffs as they lost in the semifinals in a tough fight against Dwyer High School this year they are back and better with gifted and talented dedicated workers who are ready to make this season 10 times better than last year’s season.

“As I continue to learn and improve as a coach, hopefully, that will trickle down to our players and our results on the field. The baseball team has been working since August in the weight room and on the practice field. I am extremely excited for this upcoming season” Head Coach Drew Philips said.

Philips feels excited and optimistic about the upcoming season. He is confident that his continued growth and improvement as a coach will positively affect the players and, ultimately, the team’s performance on the field.

“My expectations for this upcoming baseball season are high. My expectations are always high for our student-athletes, both on the field and in the classroom. We will always be reaching for the stars If we do that there is no reason we can’t win the District Championship” Coach Philips said

These Bucks are a well-put-together team that plays as one and has perfect team chemistry. There are many things to look forward to this season so come out and show your support for your fellow bucks.
