Dress Up for the Casino

2022 Homecoming Dance

Deerfield Beach High presents this school year’s homecoming dance as a time of casino-themed fun. Live the Vegas dream for the night or play the game right and students could be the next homecoming queen and king.

On October 8th from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm, the dance will commence in the cafeteria with the entrances being the two main doors at the front. Uncover the ticket purchased on the e-store to the bouncer then head on in to explore what the DBHS staff members and SGA has in store for attendees. The e-store is located on the Deerfield Beach High website under the resources tab titled “online payments”.

Tickets are 55 dollars and are available for the whole week of September 29th, but it’s ideal not to wait until the night before.

Until then, DBHS has decided to hold a spirit week leading up to the dance. Any student can participate in this trend and even get the chance to earn extra credit from their teachers. On Monday, students will be wearing a “white lie” t-shirt, Tuesday is anything but a book bag day, Thursday is lower class-men dress in the 2000s while upperclassmen dress 90s, and on Friday starts the annual color wars. Freshmen-white, sophomores-yellow, juniors-red, and seniors-black.

This isn’t the only chance bucks can show their school spirit. On October 3rd, the official homecoming game will be held against West Boca Raton Bulls. Support the players in one of the biggest games of the year and show buck pride!

Leading up to October 8th, students should have voted for Mr. and Mrs. Freshman, sophomore, junior, and homecoming king and queen of Deerfield Beach High. If students are interested in running, stop by room 507 to ask SGA any questions.
