Film Vs Pages

A Battle between Entertainment Industries

Books and movies have been great forms of entertainment for years. Each format is nice, but some people prefer books over movies or vice versa. Both serve different purposes.

The benefits of reading a book are that it helps develop the brain. Reading is the key to opening a new world of adventures to anyone and everyone. By channeling one’s imagination, reading allows people to envision an image in any way possible. It encourages creativity and thoughtfulness within the mind. People can read anywhere they want; a power source is not required to read a book, but one is needed to watch a movie.

Many enjoy movies as they bring favorite characters from a page to life. A generous sum of movies that are released nowadays are visual masterpieces due to the imagination put into them. A film can bring fantasy to life with sounds and scenes one may have only thought about before. Movies open the eyes to the real thing.

Most people would prefer to go out with others to a movie theater and watch a film than read a book alone. The big screen can also be beneficial to some who suffer from dyslexia, ADD, ADHD and such.

“The choice really depends on whether you want to spend time reading the book. Movies cannot fit everything in due to the time limits majority of them have, so a book could be the better option.,” said Deerfield Beach High student, Annabella Hurtado.

Books and movies are two fantastic options. It all truly depends on the type of person someone is. People who are more creative and thoughtful would prefer books over movies whereas someone who lives for the thrill and experience of life would much rather go to a movie theater with people to watch a movie. Not every person has similar tastes, so the fight on whether books or movies are better will remain at a standstill.
