Being a Buck offers unique sports, one of those teams are already looking for members of any grade level for the 2023 schedule. Anyone can be a high school golfer, as they can learn the value of being on a team. Although golf is an individual sport, a golfer’s performance will impact the team score so the more members the better Deerfield Beach High School can be.

High school golfers also have the opportunity to represent D.B.H.S. while participating in team rivalries against other local high schools, and managing the responsibilities of being a student-athlete. The most important aspect can be time management, as Deerfield Beach students have to obtain a balance between learning and practicing. This can be a positive foundation to what is established in life skills if a student learns to balance between academics, athletics, and social activities in the high school environment they can do it at any level.

So Deerfield students who are interested in practicing for the boys’ or girls’ golf teams should reach out to the coaches as practice starts the week of August 7th. Any returning players and/or interested newcomers should contact Coach Johnston (boys) at (954) 478-7322 for the specific practice dates and times before the official golf matches start the week of August 21st.
