Green Jacket Dreams

Rory Mcllroy takes home the win

This year’s tournament, April 10-13 at Augusta National Golf Club, was unforgettable. With Comebacks to heroic putts, the 2025 master made four days of unforgettable moments and a champion who left his marks on master history. Rory Mcllroy cliched his first master’s title completing the career Grand Slam. Northern Ireland 35-year-old defeated Justin Rose in a sudden death playoff becoming only the sixth golfer to win all four major championships.

Held annually at Augusta national golf club, the masters are very known for its tradition, beauty and drama. This year’s tournament lived up to the hype, with top players defending the champion from last year Jon Rahm

After a bogey at 18, it was a playoff by default but no quarter from Rory who came down with an almost perfect approach to the first playoff hole. Taking line on the next shot a 4-foot birdie. Rose’s push on his attempt at a birdie and then Mallory pounced and holed his putt and broke emotionally. The pressure had been building up on Mcllroy for years, and when finally, he made his putt history was being made. The win was not at a personal level it was an aspiration of Mcllroy.

With young superstar golfers entering the game pushing the ranks and Masters champion Mcllroy still in competition, the future for golf appears even brighter.
