Recap of the 24-25 football Season 

The DBHS Bucks football faced a difficult season during the 2024 football season, with the varsity and junior varsity teams having their fair share of difficulties on the field. While both teams looked promising this year, they ended their seasons with heartbreaking records. The Bucks are unsatisfied with how their seasons ended. 

The Varsity team came into this season with something to prove since last season, they had a losing record of 2-8. The teams they faced were better prepared this year, as they had a worse record than last year, going 1-8. There were high expectations for the junior varsity team since they had a winning record of 6-1. They shattered that expectation with a disappointing record of 1-2-1. 

“Our expectations this season was to have a better season than last year, but we didn’t really reach that, we worked hard all season, but it just wasn’t enough.” Sophomore Shavis Linder jr said, “Next year hopefully we can find a quarterback since Jaxson is leaving and better linemen so we can get the ball off.”  

DBHS Football teams have been working hard since summer and kept it up all season, but it was not enough to overcome a losing record.

This team has a lot to work on but is not giving up until they reach their goals.

These Bucks have a lot to prove next season since they did not do their best this season. The senior players are leaving so new leaders must step up and new players must come to fill missing positions. With the new editions and all the hard work, they are putting in they are going to come back stronger and better next year.
