Make Your Voice Heard

Voting Is Your Chance To Make A Difference

The upcoming election is critical to the fate of our country, and it’s important to vote and have your voice heard.

Not interested in politics? Well, if you care about issues such as gun control, police reform, LGBT rights, climate change, affordable healthcare, or accessible mental health services: you care about politics. Whether we like it or not, many aspects of our lives stem back to politics.

Elections do have consequences, so if you are eligible to vote, it is crucial that you take advantage of that power.

Did you know that since 2012, youth votes have drastically declined to just 40% of eligible voters? If every young person decided to vote, it likely would have drastically changed the outcome of past elections.

When you vote, it’s crucial to research your candidates and be sure to make an informed vote.

Here’s what you need to know about the candidates: Donald Trump; our current president running for a second term, highly known for his slogan “Make America Great Again” and for his abrupt and calloused actions. He gained a loyal following through upping the stock market, and attacking the “radical left”. He is the first president of the Republican party to be impeached and still hold his seat.

Our next candidate is Joe Biden; former Vice President and senator, he’s known to be the fifth youngest senator and Delaware’s longest-serving senator. Biden served with Barack Obama during his presidency and played an active role in shaping the U.S. policy in Iraq.

In the end, it is up to you to decide who you want to vote for, Joe Biden or Donald Trump.

Early voting has already started, but if you miss it, make sure to vote on November 3rd. If you don’t know where to send in your votes, always check your local churches.

Remember, make your voice heard
