DBHS Football Expectations 2024-2025

Deerfield Beach High Football is saying goodbye to summer workouts and hello to the 2024 – 2025 season. This summer, the Bucks underwent harsh training to prepare their bodies and minds for this upcoming season. Many fresh players came to fill the spots of the players who left and make this team better than the last.

This year the Bucks have a lot to gain after not doing so well last season as they had a losing record of 2-8. They kicked off their season with a preseason game against Stanaham which they lost. The team kept their heads up going into their next game, which was their first game of the season against Piper. Sadly, they had a heartbreaking loss of 23-0 and are heading into this season on a rough start.

“These losses are just going to make us play harder,” says DBHS football player Demien Darling “We just need to build team chemistry and start working together.”  

The team showed their newfound chemistry and the demanding work they put in after the losses as they won their most recent game against Stoneman Douglas. The Bucks scored 36-0, showing no mercy to their opponents. This win will hopefully boost the team’s confidence and help them play at a prominent level for the rest of the season.

Even after their preseason and first game of the season loss, they are looking to bounce back strong and keep losses to a minimum. This season is going to be a great one for our Bucks’
