Stitch helps Lilo family out of depression

A new fixation based on the iconic 2002 animated “Lilo & Stitch.” The film will be released on May 25, 2025, and this time it focuses on the realistic versions of the iconic Lilo and Stitch film.  Fans are excited to be able to see how Lilo and Stitch will be portrayed, but some are bothered by the animation choices for Stitch.

This live-action movie has an incredible voice cast, with Chris Sanders as Stitch, Daveigh chase as Lilo Pelekai, Kevin Mcdonald as Pleakley, Ving Rhames as Cobra Bubbles, Steve Blum as hammerhead, and lastly Tia Carrere as Nani Pelekai. This film shows how far a family can go to protect their love. The directors/writers Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois have done an amazing job with this movie.

This well-known story begins when some alien doctors were messing around and made Stitch run away from them, somehow making it to Lilo and her sister Nani on earth. Lilo fell in love with her new best friend, but the sister was not sure what it was.  They kept it not knowing everything that was about to come for them. They live in Hawaii and Stitch was the perfect pet. Lilo opens Stitch’s heart to show him how to love someone else.

”I love how Lilo helps Stitch be nice and love her and her sister,” DBHS Senior Evelin Nicny said.

This film was directed by Dean Fleischer Camp and Camp admits that he wanted to make this film crazy from the original cartoon. This live-action adaptation of Stitch was used with AI along with CGI and some viewers aren’t a big fan of the AI portion of Stitch’s make-up. AI was used for this film to enhance the features of Stitch and make him real. The movements and expressions needed details and Director Camp believed in AI to make that happen.

It has been 21 years since the original cartoon film and even though it may have production choices that are questionable, that doesn’t take away from the thrill of this film. With the amount of Disney remakes, this film fits right where it belongs.
