Peace Of Harmony

The use of music

Music has been a part of human history since its very beginnings. It serves as a way to celebrate humanity, religious practices, significant events, and a form of entertainment. Music has the power to bring people together, and many individuals use it to manage their emotions. As society evolves, the importance and significance of music continue to grow.

“I love music. There are different kinds of it, and there is something for everyone. It is a unique experience that is the closest thing we have to world peace,” said Deerfield Beach High School junior Serena Parsons. “If there is one thing that could probably bring two people who hate each other together, it is likely gonna be music.”

Numerous studies have indicated that music possesses an ability to soothe the mind and destress. The effects of music can vary significantly depending on its type. Gentle melodies can create a serene atmosphere, encouraging relaxation, while more upbeat sounds bring a person’s mood up. Many students frequently turn to music as a tool during their study sessions or homework assignments; music enhances their concentration, making irritating tasks into manageable everyday tasks. When students add music to their academic routines, students have more fun studying and can balance schoolwork with their feelings better.

“I would not say I depend on music, but I use music for most tasks. Homework, chores, workouts, basically everything. It keeps you at peace, and there’s something for every feeling,” said DBHS sophomore Sarah Parrish.

Life can often be stressful due to work, school, or even parenting responsibilities. These pressures can leave people feeling overwhelmed. It is important to find effective ways to manage this stress. One such method is through music. Listening to calming tunes or playing an instrument can help individuals relax and escape from everyday challenges. Incorporating music into one’s daily life can promote a sense of peace and improve mood.
