Private Privileges

The secret benefits that are hidden in private schools

A kid’s education is crucial since the world is constantly improving. With the importance of education comes the choice of what school someone’s child may attend. Many people imagine that private schools are better than public schools in everything.

Although most private schools offer a more exclusive education than public schools, it does not automatically make it better.

It is a common belief that schools impact how kids behave. While this is true, how school affects one kid’s behavior may not affect others. These claims and statements originate from the argument that private school students have privileges that public school students do not have.

Many private schools charge thousands of dollars so a kid can learn at a higher level. These private schools then take this money and constantly use it to improve their school and education system. Their budgets are much larger than public school budgets, but this does not mean that public schools do not care about their student’s education.

Public schools still try their hardest to oversee that their students receive the same or possibly higher education. To give students the opportunity to reach above and beyond, certain schools offer special programs.

For example, the International Baccalaureate program. This program exists throughout the country and at Deerfield Beach High School. These programs require more work than usual, but graduating with an I.B. diploma gives students a head start on other students who did not graduate with one.

A program like International Baccalaureate shows that thousands of dollars don’t contribute to a good education. Even though public schools require no entrance fee, they can still compete with private schools.
