Recapping D.B.H.S. Girls’ Soccer

Deerfield Beach High School lady buck’s soccer team finished their season with a record of 3-8-3 and went 1-2 in directs. With it not being their best season, they are already preparing for next year’s season. The Lady Bucks are excited to get back on the field. Through this season the Lady Bucks had to push themselves to have the success they had and to improve.

For many players, this season was about stepping out of their comfort zone and trying new things.

” This season I learned how to adapt to new positions since my coach put me in a position that I was not used to”. Sophomore Riyana Latheef said

In all sports, it is key to learn how to adjust in those moments of need when your team needs it.

“We need to work on staying consistent, improving our passing, and finishing our chances”. sophomore Lauren Miller said.

As more of the season went on the lady bucks’ success progressed some of those things being the team communication and teamwork but with this as the season goes on there are also things that a team needs to work on.

With high expectations for next season and this season at a close, the lady bucks are already excited to get back out on the field and show what they have. Even with the players knowing they are going to have to put much work in to meet their expectations they are dedicated to the game.
