A Night the Seniors will never forget
After working through the long and tedious year, seniors wrap up their high school journey with a once-in-a-lifetime experience at their prom. The theme this year is “Underneath the Diamond Stars,” leaving space for the imagination to run wild on how the night will go.
“I’m excited because this is the last official event with my senior class before graduation, so I’m ready to get these last few memories before we all depart ways.” said senior Sandrene Johnson.
With prom right around the corner, seniors are packing their looks down with some last-minute shopping for dresses, suits, accessories, and whatever else they need to show off for the big night.
“Even though I waited for a long time to pick out a dress, I’m excited to dress out with my friends. I think my look is cool and fits the theme.”, said senior Kahlila Torres.
When it comes to attending prom, going alone is no fun. Bringing a significant other, a friend, or going as a group adds to the joy of the night. Sharing laughs over loud music, eating together at the same tables for the last time, talking together before going separate ways. Prom is just a simple way to bring the seniors all together one last time.
“I’ve been planning for the night ever since I bought my dress in March. My friends, boyfriend and I are all going together to dance the night away. After all, this is most likely our last time together as one big group, so we need to make it count.”, said Deerfield Beach High senior Sophia Gargum.
The event is being held at The Venue in Fort Lauderdale at 7:00 p.m., Friday May 27th. Even though the décor is still a surprise, it is bound to be beautiful and sweep everyone off their feet. If any senior has not bought a ticket yet, they are still on sale for $112 per ticket through the e-store. This year, nothing will stop the seniors from enjoying the beautiful night together one last time.
