Cheer returns for another season
With the Deerfield Beach High cheerleading season coming to an end, the lady bucks are ending it with great spirit. The team has done a great job in showing support for the school’s games and showcasing our competitiveness.
Throughout the football season, the cheerleading lady Bucks made appearances and showed great confidence in the school.
“It’s been very good because we’re loud despite the losses, cheering for our team has been good,” said DBHS freshman, Taniyah Kintchen.
Head Coach Brandie Standifer, who has been with the team for 5+ years, is very proud to have such a hardworking team. Cheerleading requires skill, teamwork, and communication skills while adding an enjoyable performance to the game. The entertainment gives audiences something to look forward to while players are taking a break and preparing for the next play. Cheerleaders must be consistently present so that regardless of the score, the school does not lose its spirit for their team.
Practice is also crucial; it allows teammates to have their ways of making sure they are prepared for the school games and have a strong mindset.
“I want to learn and practice how to tumble so I can flip into stunts for my team,” said DBHS freshman, Taniyah Kintchen.
Flips and tricks have always left a good impression on cheerleading teams. Deerfield’s lady bucks have met their goals and expectations for this year. After lots of practice, look forward to seeing them perform with even more power and pride next season.
