This Year’s Superbowl LIX held on February 9, 2025, at Ceasar Superdome in New Orleans saw the Philadiha Eagles take over the Kansas City Chiefs with a score of 40-22 taking home the win.

The Eagles had dominated from the beginning with quarterback Jalen Hurts leading a 69-yard touchdown drive just in the first quarter. The Chiefs struggled offensively as the Chiefs quarte back Patrick Mahomes threw two first-half interceptions. With the Eagles coming out by halftime the Eagles had a lead of 24-0.

In the second half of the game, the Eagles extended the lead with a 49-yard touchdown pass to Devonta Smith. On the other hand, the Chiefs scored later into the third quarter, but the Eagles’ defense was in their favor, as the Eagles forced many turnovers and limited Kansas City’s offensives.

Hurts was named Super Bowl MVP, completing 17 of 22 passes for 221 yards and accounting for three touchdowns. He also set a Super Bowl record for quarterback rushing yards with 72 and contributed three touchdowns. Cooper DeJean became the second rookie in Super Bowl history to return an interception for a touchdown, marking his birthday with a standout defensive play. Xavier Worthy The Chief’s rookie wide receiver recorded 157 receiving yards and two touchdowns, setting a rookie Super Bowl record.

The Eagle’s victory not only showcased their on-field excellence but also highlighted strategic offseason moves and effective leadership. Win or lose both of these teams put their all into this game but one had to come out on top.
