The Challenges with Today Sports 

In today’s world, sports seem to be one of the biggest attractions to people, but there are many problems lying behind the scenes. Many sports have drifted away from their real purpose, and fans are starting to question it. Some of these problems in today’s sports are that there is too much focus on money, a lack of sportsmanship, And inequality in many sports.

To start off, one of the major issues is that there is too much focus on money in sports. Athletes now make millions of dollars, and many ticket prices are rising. Many teams have many sponsorships or ads with the corporation, but to fans, it can make them feel as if the game is really just a business competition

Sportsmanship has also taken a hit in sports. Celebrations once highlight the good in the team’s teamwork, but now in sports, it is often focused on being cocky and showing themselves up. While there has been trash-talking all throughout history, it has lately taken on a new level as it has led to fights with players and teams in sports.

Inequalities are still a challenge in today’s sports, as women’s sports, sports have less coverage and funding then male sports. Another example of the inequalities in sports is that many players and faces in sports face discrimination based on their race, gender, or background.

Yes, sports still do bring good into the world like excitement and inspiration, but there are many clear problems that still have to be addressed. If sports are still true to their purpose today, the focus has to return to the passion of the game and teamwork, as well as the respect of the game. These are the values that sports must have to play sports, more than just a business
