The rise of women in sports 

Women’s sports are on the rise all over the world. Especially in the year 2026, there has been more engagement and more investments in women’s sports. There has been record breaking viewership and many changes across professional sports leagues.

There have been many worldwide moments that show the rise of women in sports. For example, the Olympics games or the Fifa world cup with athletes like Serena Williams or Alex Morgan, who are an inspiration to many people around the world.

“It feels good to see such good reputations in sports surrounding women,” Junior Audrianna Calvet said.

For many years, women’s sports have been seen as boring or not entertaining in comparison to men’s sports. In recent years, athletes like Catlin Clark, a professional basketball player, have built up a reputation. With sold-out arenas, Media growth, and an impact on the sport as a whole, she has changed the game for many young athletes.

The rise of women in sports has also changed the aspect surrounding sports media. With most sports being covered by men in past recent years, the world can see more women being introduced in the media aspect and taking on those jobs. More women have entered the industry as journalists, broadcasters, analysts, photographers, producers, and executives. With event like the World Cup, the Olympic game or even March Madness, we can see more women being represented not just in the game but also in front of and behind the camera.

In every aspect, sports all over the world are changing. Women’s sports are no longer being over looked and becoming the top pics all over. Changing perspectives and opinions is setting the standard for women in sports.
